Camping List

The Essentials


Map (each person will have a basic map)
Compass
Sunglasses and sunscreen
Food - this will be packed in a single water tight container and will be looked after by the trip organizers
Headlamp/flashlight
First-aid kit - each person should have a basic kit measuring no larger than  4' x 3'
Water bottle
Matches – in waterproof container
Fire starter
Knife - please refer to trip organizer regarding this matter directly
Repair kit - for your equipment and clothes 
Trip plan – left with a friend
Whistle
Insect repellent or bug shirt


Clothing – Men's, Women's

Hiking boots
Socks (liner and outers)
Base layer top/bottoms
Insulated top
Long-sleeved shirt (for sun protection)
Rain wear or outer shell top/bottoms
Short-sleeved shirt
Insulating hat
Pants
Shorts
Gloves or mitts

Camping Gear

Backpack

Stove and fuel - looked after by camp organizers
